Further inspiration…

One thing I really enjoy about teaching is the fact that you get to spend lots of time trawling through images to use for classes. While doing this I came across this fantastic wallpaper design by one of my favourite artists Ben Nicholson
Ben Nicholson, Princess, Hand-block printed cotton, 1933.

I also came across this Edward Bawden painting which I saw in London a couple of years ago. I love the palette he has used, the composition and the combination of drawn line and flat areas of colour.
